Mr Jim Easton, Director of Auscredits, a stalwart supporter of the FBAA since 1995, and Senior Vice President since 1999 has assumed the role of Acting National President of The Finance Brokers Association of Australia in the wake of the resignation of Mr Graham Reibelt who was elected National President in October 2003, after serving as a National Board Member for the past 4 years.

Jim's professional background as a Chattel and Commercial Finance Broker, supports the FBAA's member policy of a National Association for Brokers from both the Mortgage and the Chattel areas of the Industry.

Under Jim's leadership the National Executive is a united and forceful team of experienced business people, supporting a democratic style of management.

The Board has also reluctantly accepted the resignation of three members of the NSW State Executive.

Elections will be held at the NSW State Branch Annual General Meeting, the date to be advised by the National Executive shortly.

Recent Achievements of the FBAA are:

• The FBAA has recently introduced their On-Line Educational Courses, which have been developed exclusively for the Finance Broking Industry and delivered by the Australian College of Financial Services. Available on our website www.financebrokers.com.au
• The FBAA will shortly be launching their new National magazine the "Finance Broker" which will be sent out to 6000 Finance Brokers Australia wide.
• Membership fees include our On Line UCCC course which is acceptable accreditation by most lenders throughout Australia and can be found on our website. www.financebrokers.com.au
• The FBAA have been running State Based Seminars on the NSW Legislation, and currently have two more seminars to run, one in Newcastle Friday 25th June, 2004 10am - 12am,the other in Palm Beach Qld on the Tuesday 15th June, 2004 3pm - 5pm. • One Day State based Conferences are intended in each State starting in August, which will enable participation and affordability for ALL Finance Brokers both large and small.
