Police, Credit & Bankruptcy Checks

Applicants for membership with FBAA are required to obtain Police, Credit & Bankruptcy checks when submitting an application for membership. For detailed information regarding membership requirements, click here.

Police Checks

  • Applicants for membership must provide a National Police Check. The check must not be more than 2 months old from the date of application with FBAA.**
    • Where the applicant is a company, partnership, business or firm; all directors, partners and principals directly engaged in the business must provide this document.
    • Note that every 3 years, when renewing your membership, we will require a new National Police Check.

** Please note that if you aggregate with Connective, they will only accept a police check completed directly with the AFP or a State or Territory police agency.

Credit Checks

  • Applicants for membership must provide a Credit Check. The check must not be more than 1 month old from the date of application with FBAA.
    • A separate bankruptcy search will not be required if it is included in the Credit Report.
    • Note that every 3 years, when renewing your membership, we will require a new Credit Check.

You can obtain a Credit Report with Veda.

Bankruptcy Search

  • Applicants for membership must provide a Bankruptcy Search. The search must not be more than 1 month old from the date of application with FBAA.
    • A separate bankruptcy search will not be required if it is included in the Credit Report.
    • Note that every 3 years, when renewing your membership, we will require a new Bankruptcy Search.

You can obtain a Bankruptcy Search via a credit reporting agency such as Veda, or directly from the National Personal Insolvency Index.
