On behalf of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA), I would like to invite you to our inaugural FBAA National Conference "Get on your Feet and Cement your Future" in Sydney on 13-15 June, 2012 at Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour NSW.

	Peter Switzer Peter is one of Australia's leading business and financial commentators, launching his own business 20 years ago. The Switzer Group has since grown over three successful companies spanning media and publishing, financial services and business coaching. Peter is an award-winning broadcaster, twice runner up for the Best Current Affairs Commentator award for radio, behind broadcaster Alan Jones. 	Amanda Stevens Former Young Businesswoman of the Year and Young Australian of the Year (NSW), Amanda Stevens is a highly successful entrepreneur and widely recognised as a global authority on marketing. Her engaging and humorous style on stage has seen her voted the top speaker of the conference over 80% of the time. Her international marketing, research and PR firm Splash Consulting Group works with businesses large and small to assist them with harnessing the growing influence of the female consumer dollar. She has been described by many as a female Allan Pease.
	Sue Vroombout Sue Vroombout was recently appointed as General Manager of the Retail Investor Division in Markets Group of the Treasury, with responsibility for providing policy advice to the government on the licensing of financial services providers, product disclosure and financial advice requirements and the reform of consumer credit arrangements. Sue has previously held a number of senior positions in the Treasury and the Attorney-General's Department, providing advice on a range of issues including in the taxation, corporate law and financial services areas. Most recently, Sue was General Manager of the Commonwealth-State Relations Division in the Treasury.
	Jasson Urbanowicz After spending the past 13 years studying what holds people back from reaching their full potential in life Jason has designed a blueprint for success that work's for 99% of people who apply it. He has taught these techniques to thousands of people all around the globe and revealed to people how they can smash through self-sabotaging roadblocks so they can have it all in life. His mission in life is to teach people the tools necessary for creating a road map that will help them stay on the path to success.
	Kym Dalton Kym has worked in financial services for over 30 years, during which time he's held CEO roles with major corporations in Australia and New Zealand; whilst also gaining wide ranging on the ground experience in the USA and UK. He was instrumental in pioneering the residential mortgage securitisation and 'non-bank' lending industries in Australia and New Zealand He is currently the Executive Chairman of CreditED- an online financial literacy initiative, as well as being a frequent commentator and consultant on industry matters via Futurology Pty Ltd.
	Mark Bouris Mark Bouris is one of Australia's most respected businessmen, with a career that spans three decades in the financial services industry. Mark believes that every Australian deserves access to quality financial advice, which is the driving force behind his latest venture, Yellow Brick Road Wealth Management. Since its inception in 2007, Yellow Brick Road has built a national branch network with the aim to bring first class financial services to the suburbs. Yellow Brick Road offers advice and products for home loans, financial planning, insurance, term deposits, accounting and tax. Mark built his reputation as Executive Chairman of Wizard Home Loans, which he founded in 1996.
	Bae Bastian Bae Bastian is Legal Counsel to the Ombudsman – Banking & Finance in the Financial Ombudsman Service. She had been the Team Leader for the Lending team, which deals with all disputes regarding credit facilities. Bae has practised in the areas of financial service law, dispute resolution and insolvency for over 20 years. Bae joined the Banking & Financial Services Ombudsman (the predecessor to the Financial Ombudsman Service) four years ago. Prior to that, her experience included private practice as a lawyer then senior associate in Minter Ellison's dispute resolution group and 8 years as Senior Corporate Lawyer – Dispute Resolution at National Australia Bank.
	Greg Kirk Greg Kirk is Senior Executive Leader of ASIC's Deposit Takers, Credit and Insurers stakeholder team. The team's work is strongly focused on the retail end of the financial services market, including deposit and transaction banking, all aspects of consumer credit and the general and life insurance markets. It conducts general surveillance and compliance work as well as undertaking major projects on issues causing consumer detriment. Most recently Greg has lead an internal project team responsible for the implementation of the new national consumer credit laws. Greg was formerly the Director, Compliance and Campaigns, Consumer Protection, ASIC. Before joining ASIC, he was Principal Solicitor at the Public Interest Advocacy Centre.
	John Floros John has been in the NSW Police Force for 19 years with over 16 years in criminal investigation. He has experience in serious violent crimes ranging from extortion, homicide and kidnap for ransom. John is the officer in charge of Strike Force Apia that has terms of reference to investigate organised mortgage fraud and over 7 years in the Fraud Squad. He runs the NSW Police Force Fraud Investigation Training Course when available for investigators working in the private sector.
	Philip Joe-Low Philip Joe-Low currently manages the Deloitte Digital Identity Products. He has extensive experience in Compliance, with a focus on AML, having worked at one of the Big 4 for a number of years. He frequently liaises with Government on regulatory issues and has taken a prominent role on Deloitte's technology response to the NCCP obligations.
	David Baker David has worked in the Banking and Finance industry for over 17 years in various diverse roles ranging from investments, credit sanctioning, management accounting and internal auditing, with organisations such as ANZ Esanda, GE Capital, Sanwa UFJ, BankWest, Lloyds Banking Group and now with AUSTRAC. His current role as Director of the Supervision Central Region encompasses NSW and ACT and is responsible for supervising over 8,000 reporting entities across a range of sectors including foreign banks, fund managers, stockbrokers, superannuation trustees, lenders, credit unions/building societies, casinos and other gaming and wagering venues, bullion dealers and remittance businesses.
	Peter Irvine Since opening their first coffee house in November 1996, Gloria Jean Coffees has grown to be the largest specialty coffee retailer and one of the fastest growing franchise organisations in Australia. Today there are over 410 Gloria Jean stores and kiosks across Australia and over 750 coffee houses in 25 countries worldwide. In January 2005, Peter purchased the international Master Franchise brand and supply and roasting rights for all countries. Gloria Jean Coffees has continued to grow, demonstrating excellence in franchising and setting the standard internationally for franchise models. This was recognized in 2005 when Gloria Jean Coffees won the PricewaterhouseCoopers Excellence in Franchising - Franchisor of the Year Award.
	James Morrison James is, by any standard, a virtuoso. Besides the trumpet, James also plays trombone, euphonium, flugel horn, tuba, saxophones, double bass and piano. He began playing aged 7 and by the age of 16 debuted in the USA at the Monterey Jazz Festival. Now aged 49 he has recorded and performed with various Symphony Orchestras around the world and has performed for royalty and US Presidents. In 1997, James was awarded a medal of The Order of Australia for services to the arts. He spends much time in education, doing master classes and workshops and presenting the James Morrison Jazz Scholarship. In addition to public performance and education, James is busy in the corporate world as a speaker and performer, with clients such as Deloitte, Canon, BMW, Westpac and various government departments and international conferences.
