For the first time the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) annual national conference on November 25 will, in conjunction with the traditional gala dinner, hold an awards ceremony recognising leaders in their fields.
There are 15 categories of awards open to members, who are encouraged to nominate and be showcased as being ‘top of their game’ nationally in finance broking, mentoring, mortgages, motor finance and commercial asset finance.
“We even have a special award for the Business Development Manager of the year to recognise the hard work they do for brokers,” said the FBAA’s Peter White.
The 2016 national industry conference is themed ‘Bigger, Better, Stronger’ and will showcase the latest in regulation updates and product development, and feature keynote guest speakers who are experts in small business management and the financial services sector.
Mr White said that while the conference was free for FBAA members, it is open to everyone across the industry.
“The conference is ideal for brokers to gather, network, exchange ideas, and listen to some of the sharpest minds in not only the broking game but also small business who have a wealth of knowledge and advice.”
This year’s special guest speaker is noted industry champion Mark Bouris, while the conference will also hear from marketing specialist Adam Franklin and human resources expert Natasha Hawker. Internationally renowned body language guru Allan Pease is also a part of the speaker’s roster.
The conference also welcomes back Detective Senior Constable Graeme Edwards from the Queensland Police Force’s Fraud and Cyber Group who will offer updates on the latest security issues relevant to the financial sector.
