The FBAA’s 2013 Annual National Industry Conference will feature two of Australia’s most interesting celebrities as MC and guest speaker for the conference gala dinner.

The conference, with the theme ‘Masters of the Universe’, will be held on November 8 at the Sea World theme park on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

In an unusual but well-received move, conference registration will be free of charge to FBAA members and only $99 to non-members, however tickets must be purchased for the gala dinner.

Well known comedian and television identity Vince Sorrenti has been announced as the conference MC. Sorrenti’s website notes that he has “entertained everyone from prime ministers to PNG highlanders, Hollywood celebrities to trade unionists, and cardinals to wall street bankers.”

On November 9, he’ll be able to add ‘Australia’s most prominent finance brokers’!

But the big guns don’t stop there, with Alan Jones – the race car driver not the shock jock – named as the dinner’s guest speaker. Jones is one of the world’s best known Formula One drivers, winning the 1980 World Championship before switching to Australian touring cars and clinching the Australian Sports Sedan & GT Championship in 1982.

FBAA chief executive officer Peter White said the conference was already destined to be the highlight of the year for the finance broking industry, but these speakers will add an extra level of entertainment.

“This conference will provide real and beneficial information for all finance professionals and will include eight hours of CPD, but it’s also a time to recharge, relax and take a well-earned family break,” he said.

“We are thrilled to have people of the calibre of Vince Sorrenti and Alan Jones, and I hope no one misses this event.”

More information is available by contacting the FBAA. Seats for the National Conference are limited.
