The FBAA has announced that the Government leader in the Senate and Minister for Employment, Senator Eric Abetz, will present the opening address at their annual conference next month.
The conference, with the theme ‘Masters of the Universe’, will be held on November 8 at the Sea World theme park on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
Senator Abetz will join finance sector experts from a range of fields who will be speaking at the one day conference, which offers brokers eight hours of CPD.
FBAA chief executive officer Peter White said the conference was a practical event that will help brokers embrace all facets of the industry and build their practices.
“There will also be opportunity to network and catch up with others across the industry and of course to take a break and recharge,” he said.
In an unusual but well-received move, conference registration will be free of charge to FBAA members and open to all industry professionals. Non-members will pay only $99, however tickets must be purchased by anyone attending the gala dinner.
Recently the FBAA announced that comedian and television identity Vince Sorrenti would be the conference MC and Aussie race car legend Alan Jones would be the guest speaker at the dinner.
Mr White said Senator Abetz has been particularly interested in the FBAA’s career path initiatives and their focus on building the future of the industry.
The conference will include a high profile and accessible trade expo in the main conference hall.
More information is available by contacting the FBAA. Seats for the National Conference are limited.
