The Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) says its upcoming conference is an event for the entire industry, not just members.
FBAA chief executive officer Peter White has labelled the conference “a landmark moment”, stating that issues affecting brokers transcend the association.
The one day conference with the theme “transform your thinking”, will be held at Sea World Resort on Queensland’s Gold Coast on November 14, and is set to challenge and encourage brokers to think in ways that will build their businesses and the industry.
“With the current interest rate movements and legislative tightening around the NCCP, now is a great time for brokers to learn how to maximise their revenue and service customers in new ways.”
He said the conference was already experiencing record registration numbers.
“It is free for FBAA members but we’ve intentionally created a nominal fee for others so all finance professionals can attend.”
The association has confirmed key Industry Speakers Martin Grunstein and Deena Janes as well as international guest speaker Dr Koichi Saito. To add a lighter flavour, comedian Vince Sorrenti will again be the MC.
Mr White said he wants to make sure delegates have a good time socially and the chance to network but it was important that the day of the conference be practical and highly beneficial.
“Our aim is to show finance professional that there are more opportunities for their businesses than what they may be doing now.
“We’ll be encouraging them to ask ‘what if?” and leave with the resolve that “I am going to do” or “I can be”.
To prove that every great conference must end with a great feast, the FBAA Gala Dinner will be a unique “Sea World” experience and end with the biggest fireworks display ever seen on the Gold Coast.
Mr White has challenged anyone who has never been to an FBAA conference – especially those who may not even be members – to attend.
