The smartphone app launched at the recent annual conference of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) is now available on iPhone.

The app, which can be used by brokers, the real estate industry and customers, is the first of its type developed within the broking sector and has already proven popular.

FBAA chief executive officer Peter White said brokers across Australia with Android devices have already downloaded it, and now iPhone users have access.

“The response has been massive. There is no other way I can put it,” Mr White said.

“It’s important that in this instant world, people have information available when they need it, and this app gives them the information and calculators they need.”

The app, which can be downloaded by searching ‘FBAA’, includes a finance calculator, stamp duty calculator and information about FBAA news and events.

Mr White said while brokers are already using the app, the public will also embrace the new technology. “For the first time we are empowering the public, so they can calculate stamp duty and possible repayments the moment they view a property.”

“It will also help homebuyers find their closest FBAA member, so we encourage our members across Australia to recommend it to their clients.”
