Breakfast & Morning Tea
Thursday September 14th 2017
Join the FBAA for Breakfast at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre
R U OK? Day is Thursday 14 September – a national reminder that we’ve all got what it takes to ask, “are you ok?” and support those struggling with life. For most of us, our eyes, ears and mouths are the resources we can use to support those around us. However, sometimes we can feel apprehensive or unprepared for a conversation where the person may say, “no I’m not ok.” And that’s ok.
The FBAA want the industry to have a discussion about mental health, with a majority of brokers saying they feel highly stressed. We are very aware that brokers put a lot of pressure on themselves to chase work and complete deals. We acknowledge that health, particularly mental health, is an increasing concern in the community and a key issue for the financial services sector. We aim to address this with targeted initiatives to better equip brokers in responding to the circumstances they face.
Please join us for an information packed breakfast and morning tea including mental health advocates, a mental health workplace session and a work/life balance session.
A lucky attendee will have the chance to win 1 x 12 month business coach worth over $1,800.00 with ‘7 Colored Doors.’
Come along and support this amazing cause, maybe donate or even buy some R U OK? Day merchandise. We want you to help us spread the message.
